You ever have those days where everything you say or do seems to be wrong?
Have you ever felt out of place in your life?
Like you don't know how you got there or what you want to do about it??
Like you've fallen and you can't get up?
I have. I am. I do.
I'm finding myself questioning and pondering things that I dare not even say out loud. I can't even bare the thought of these things in my head let alone let them escape for others to chew on.
Instead I wear the happy face and hand out the expressive, thoughtful, warm feeling type of comments to those around me...but really it's just a mask. One that's hiding the ugly awful truth that I have completely lost my direction and have no clue where to go from here.
I don't know who my friends are. Who can I trust? What is a friend anyway? Who actually cares?
What do I do with this child? This lovely, beautiful, difficult, enraging child? Why is she like this? What did we do? What can we change? Why do I suddenly feel this way?
*sigh*
Yeah, this is why I have avoided the blog lately. Deep down, it's all dark and unhappy. A total funk.
I'll pull out someday. In the meantime, it's easier to wear the mask and pretend. I did take theatre... it's all good.

Princess had her very first Soccer game this weekend...
It's hysterical watching these 3 and 4 yr. olds play. We knew it would be one heck of a game when the whistle blew and nearly our entire team stood on the line looking around dazed and confused while the other team took off with the ball. It took some direction and coaxing, but soon they all seemed to grasp what they were supposed to be doing.

Princess quickly became a ball hog (cute, but we'll have to work on teaching her Soccer is a TEAM effort! lol) and at the very end, managed to score a goal all by herself!!! She was very excited and hasn't stopped asking since when she can play again.

Did you happen to catch Dateline on Friday??? You've got to watch this:
Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy
It was a deeply touching story of an American man David Goldman, who sent his wife and young son off on a plane for vacation in Brazil. He planned to meet up with them later in the trip. Little did he know that was the last time he would ever see his son again. His wife and her parents were in the process of abducting Sean and taking him to Brazil with no intention of ever returning.
Court battle after court battle and just when it looks as if Brazil will never allow him access to his son, the ex-wife dies. Yet, STILL he fights for custody of his son. Now going up against the a man his ex-wife married (essentially the Step Father) who should have no say in the matter!
It is speculated the reason this fight has gone on for so long is because he is up against two very powerful and influential families in Brazil, the Ribeiro's and Paulo Lins e Silva's, that have done all they can to prevent him from being reunited with Sean.
This story has really gotten to me and I wanted to do my part in spreading the news all over the world. We cannot let things like this happen. Will you help David find justice? Will you help him get his son back??

Are you good at spelling? After reading this, I intend for my children to be "A" class spellers!! Why? See for yourself....
This is right up there with the picture that the child drew of what she wanted to do when she grew up...

If you're ever bored on a Friday afternoon, drive down to your local Social Security Administration office and people watch.
Thanks to Rumblings and Bumblings I realized I needed to change the Princess's Social Security Card to reflect her new name. (Yes, the name that was changed over a year ago now!! Oops)
We haven't done our taxes yet, but had I not read M's post, they would have been rejected just like theirs was. Needless to say I was relieved to find out before hand.
Anyway, I show up to the SS office and I literally had to pick my jaw up off the floor. There were SO. MANY. PEOPLE! I walked up and took a number. My number was N37, I looked up at the screen and they were on number N229. YEAH. The numbers would go up to 300 and then flip over and start a 1 again. There were also people holding R numbers AND people that had appointments that didn't have a number.
I looked around and saw people from every walk of life. It's not every day you see such a mix of people. Plus, there were just so many of us waiting in this huge room I felt like I was in a foreign Country and trying to gain access to the United States.
I waited there for nearly 3 hrs.... 3 hrs people!!!! When I was finally called back I presented my documents to the woman and she began looking through them. She abruptly stopped and declared I needed another form of ID for Princess.
Okay, I had already brought her 2 Birth Certificates, (the original, and the new one with our names in place of bio's) her current SS card AND the Certified Adoption Decree. SHE'S 3 lady! How many more forms of ID could she possibly have??? She tells me I needed to bring her shot record. Ummmmm no. I brought all the documentation I was told I would need. She and I went back and forth and in the end she allowed me to proceed, but boy for a minute there I thought I was going to have to kick her ass. (After sitting for 3 hours NO ONE is in a particularly good mood)
SIGH
While there, I changed my Social Security card to reflect my married name too. We've only been married 11 years now. *GIGGLE* Yes, yes I admit it. I am a procrastinator.
I hope to never have to set foot there again. EVER.
