I wanted to share...

The Princess's Occupational Therapist (OT) recommends that we use the Crayola Triangular Crayons. I'd never noticed them before in the crayon and marker isle of the store, but...sure enough they're there!

As toddlers and preschoolers define their fine motor skills, you want to make sure they have the correct grip on their markers, pencils and crayons. The unique size and shape of the Triangular crayons guide their little fingers into the correct 'alligator' grip. (Imagine your thumb, index fingers are an alligators mouth) I picked some of these cool crayons for Princess to use at home. What an easy way to help her develop the proper grip!

Of course, she's used to using them at OT, but here at home it was a special treat. She was very excited, sat down at the table and immediately removed all the paper from the crayons. She simply could not color her page with the crayons in tact!!

Thanks for the suggestion. I am going to ask my 3 year olds PT about them on Tuesday.
